evaluation Q2 poster
The main inspiration for my poster came from quarantine or rec (Spanish original) this is because of the night vision providing the green backing and as our film also has a lot of night vision it made sense to apply it to the poster. also following the main conventions of horror posters it should have low key lighting with key feature highlighted with either a spot light or gradient tool also another convention is the close up or long shot in my poster I used the close up because it focused on 3 characters so it gives the audience a personal feel to the actor before they have seen the film. The shot of Kerry reaching out for the camera denotes that she needs help and the bars also connote a prisoned however these also cause various connotations due to the bars resembling she is imprisoned, kept either due to her actions or someone else's. the night vision connote's that it is dark where she is and no lights or little whilst it could denote that is the abyss of her soul and she is trapped by the bars because she is trying to shield her self from what has happened or alternatively that it is her sub-concious suppressing the horrors she has committed to the friends.
