evaluation Q2 magazine cover

Magazine cover
My magazine cover conforms with the conventions of the empires magazine lay out of sub picture with the main picture and contents listings on the front page. I chose empire because it is a long established movie magazine, also keeping with the theme of nigh vision green from the poster and film this allows the magazine to be instantly recognisable to our brand identity. The empire magazine logo is rarely tampered with but there are some examples such as Tron, Hellboy, hulk and Iron man, However nearly all of the photos are over the logo but due to find me breaking this convention it does not even have a person on in the picture this denote that the forest is a wide empty space with many wonders and mystery and that anything can happen in a forest, also this resembles our film quite well because with out a lot of actors there is a lot to watch and it also plays on the mind that anything may be hiding on that next path or behind that next tree.
the empire logo contrasts the green night vision making it stand out this is also good for advertising the magazine because it may catch your eye more in the shop and the cover line can hook and pull you in. The white drop shadow around the pictures allows your attention to be drawn to them and this is a good way of selling the magazine because it is highlighting the gimick of free posters.
The white FIND ME has been smudged to give it the bad t.v effect that the photo has this may connote that the film is hand held and this is also ratified due to the spiralling blur of the trees on the photo, this is compounded with solid evidence of white noise backing the cover lines denoting that it could be cause by interference in the form of aliens or it could connote that the equipment used is faulty or old and damaged.
